Director of Inclusion
Laura has extensive experience of leading inclusion across a range of school types and phases and has held senior strategic leadership roles in schools and multi-academy trusts. Laura works closely with our school leaders and teachers to strengthen inclusive practice, remove barriers to learning, and ensure every pupil has access to excellent opportunities and achieves the very best outcomes.
She believes passionately that understanding the unique contexts of our schools and their communities is the starting point for improving the lives of children and young people. Laura is committed to creating learning communities where every child feels they belong, where diversity is valued as a strength, and where inclusion is recognised as the responsibility of every leader.
Laura contributes nationally to policy development, professional learning and leadership programmes, working with schools, trusts, local authority partnerships and sector organisations to develop inclusive practice. She is a regular speaker at national education conferences, was Lead Writer for a national provider of the NPQSENCO, holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, and is currently completing a Master’s in Social Justice and Education at UCL Institute of Education.
