Aletheia Academies Trust is a growing family of academies serving children and young people from early years through to post-16 education. Our Trust includes nurseries, primary and secondary schools, sixth forms, Special Resource Provisions (SRPs), and all-through schools, united by a shared commitment to high expectations, strong values, and inclusive education.
As our community continues to grow, so too does our responsibility. With further expansion on the horizon, Aletheia is committed to ensuring that growth strengthens the quality of education and support provided in every academy. We see scale as an opportunity: for schools, leaders and governors to collaborate more deeply, to shape provision collectively, and to contribute to a genuinely school-led, self-improving system rooted in local need.
At the heart of Aletheia is a clear moral purpose. We are committed both to sustaining high-performing academies and to supporting schools at points of challenge or transition. Our school improvement work draws on the collective expertise within the Trust, enabling leaders and teachers to learn from one another, share best practice, and access support that is responsive, flexible and timely. Pedagogical excellence underpins all our work, with a sustained focus on collaborative practice, mastery learning and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning.
People are our greatest strength. As a Trust with Teacher Training ‘Hub’ status, Aletheia plays a vital role in developing the next generation of teachers and leaders. We are proud to support recruitment, training and retention across our schools, providing clear career pathways, high-quality professional development and opportunities to work across different phases and contexts. For many, Aletheia is the start of a long and fulfilling career in education.
Our History
Aletheia Academies Trust was founded with a clear vision: to build a sustainable, values-driven Trust that acts as a civic institution – one that improves provision, broadens opportunity and raises outcomes for children and families in the communities we serve.
Saint George’s Church of England School converted to academy status as a Single Academy Trust in 2011. In partnership with Shorne Church of England Primary School and St Botolph’s Church of England Primary School, Saint George’s helped establish Aletheia Academies Trust in late 2014, with a shared commitment to educational excellence and collaboration.
Since then, Aletheia has grown in strength, capacity and expertise as a Multi-Academy Trust. Today, we serve pupils across a diverse range of academies, supported by a central team that works alongside schools to enable strong leadership, effective governance and sustained improvement – always keeping children and young people at the centre of everything we do.
